Disability Rights Advocates, a growing civil rights public interest law firm in downtown Berkeley California, has an employment opportunity for a Senior Paralegal.
Applicants should have spectacular communication and critical thinking skills and be dedicated to protecting the rights of people with disabilities.
College graduate with excellent academic achievement or Paralegal certification in compliance with California Business and Professions Code 6450-6456.
Minimum two years litigation paralegal experience with a working knowledge of civil procedure and court rules to perform paralegal duties in the context of civil litigation in both federal and state courts.
Ability to train and manage entry-level paralegals.
Must have strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel and Outlook, as well as on-line research tools. Some knowledge of Access preferred.
Experience working with litigation support software such as Summation, CaseMap, Trial Director and Compulaw a real plus.
Salary depends on experience, and there is an exceptional benefits package.
