Disability Rights Advocates (DRA), a national non-profit disability rights legal center specializing in precedent-setting and socially significant civil litigation, has a staff position available for a motivated attorney with at least 3 years of litigation experience, to work on a variety of high impact cases. Qualified candidates will be prepared to work in our Berkeley, CA. office, and will be able to independent handle significant components of cases, including depositions, oral arguments and appellate level work.

DRA handles a wide range of issues such as access to transportation, education, employment, recreation, insurance and health care. We represent populations with many different types of disabilities. We take on cases that involve major commercial entities and public agencies whose policies and practices impact millions of people across the country.
Recently, we have won national cases affirming the rights of veterans to mental health services, the obligation of major cities, such as Los Angeles, to meet the need of people with disabilities in disaster planning and we are actively engaged in litigation to assure that New York City's new taxi will be accessible to people with mobility disabilities.
